Vocabulary

• Root folder, your #'s, user ID (your equivalent of "gac8629")
• Local and Remote Servers - Your local server is your computer, and your remote server is the garnet server ("garnet.acns.fsu.edu")

In Dreamweaver, make sure this toolbox is open:

• Files>Site Where you'll monitor your site files

On the desktop (not in Dreamweaver) create a folder in your documents folder, inside the one with your name on it, called "gac8629 (use your letters)"

In Dreamweaver, on the third level menu called Site, Select New Site (a.k.a Files>Site>Site>New Site)

Select the Advanced option tab

Make sure local info is selected as your category

Fill in the blanks as follows:

• Site Name: Your root folder numbers (actually optional, but the uniformity will help me help you when we're troubleshooting during class.)
• Local Root folder: Select the blue folder to the right, and navigate to your root folder (the one with your numbers on it.

Hit OK

Now make a webpage.
